I grew up in Utah County and moved to Arizona to attend Northern Arizona University after graduating from high school in Orem. I graduated with honors from N.A.U. and then went to law school in Salem, Oregon at Willamette University. Initially, I planned to stay in Oregon and was a Deputy District Attorney for Douglas County for nearly three years. But the desire to live nearer my family finally won out and I moved back to Utah in 2003, taking a position as Deputy County Attorney for Utah County. In 2005,1 entered private practice to represent individuals accused of crimes or going through divorce. Even in law school it became obvious that I enjoyed being in the courtroom. As a prosecutor and now defense attorney, I appear in court almost daily and have participated in grand juries, preliminary hearings, motion hearings and of course numerous jury trials. As a defense attorney, my clients benefit from my extensive courtroom experience gained while working as a prosecutor. I've been on the other side (as a prosecutor) and I know how it works. These days my practice focuses on criminal defense and divorce/family law where I can use my skills and experience to assist and benefit individual clients. I have had almost all types of criminal cases from DUI to sex offenses and murder, drug offenses to white-collar crimes. 1 have also worked in the federal, state and juvenile systems. I believe that all people whether fathers or mothers, husbands or wives, or defendants accused of crimes, have important rights that must be protected. I work hard to provide excellent representation, personal service and aggressive defense of personal rights.
